About the Journal

The Journal of Orthodox Canon Law, edited by the Faculty of Orthodox Theology at Babeș-Bolyai University, is dedicated to the scholarly study of Orthodox Canon Law and Church Law. It explores the legal and ecclesiastical traditions of the Orthodox Church, addressing topics such as Church-State relations, the organization and administration of church communities, and the development of canonical norms in historical and contemporary contexts.

Languages: The articles are published in English, French, and German. 

No publication fees: The Journal of Orthodox Canon Law does not charge authors any submission or publication fees.

The journal is Open Access and supports immediate free access to the work, permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles and any other lawful use in accordance to the CC by ND license employed by the journal.
